Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele has come in for some criticism during his stint at Galatasaray.

It was Sercan Dikme who made the comments.

So, what did the Turkish football pundit say about Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele? Let’s take a look…

Tanguy Ndombele criticised while away from Tottenham

Well, the Frenchman has struggled during his loan spell at Galatasaray so far this season.

Ndombele has failed to score in 23 appearances across all competitions – with just one assist to show for his efforts.

However, the France international continues to receive game time from Okan Buruk – something Dikme is far from happy about.

The enraged pundit told GS Gazete: “Who gets the most criticism at Galatasaray? Ndombele. Okan Buruk is still playing him and nobody says anything. I bet he wouldn’t have played for one month at Besiktas, his contract would have been cancelled.”

Clearly, those close to Galatasaray feel very strongly about the 27-year-old’s continued involvement at the RAMS Park.

Tottenham have a problem with Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham look set to struggle in terms of finding a new home for Ndombele this summer.

Galatasaray actually hold a £13.1m option to buy the man Spurs paid £63m to sign from Lyon back in July 2019 – however, we are not expecting that to be triggered given his underwhelming displays.

Galatasaray were even said to be exploring a termination of the loan in January.

Therefore – with Ndombele’s Spurs contract expiring in July 2025 – this upcoming summer represents Tottenham’s last chance to recoup some cash, or else the north Londoners risk losing him for nothing next year.

Hopefully, Tottenham can find a solution to this predicament and at least make some money back on the club’s record signing.

Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq are believed to be one potential destination for Ndombele after Jordan Henderson left to join Ajax in January.
